Three ways of achieving a broader reach for potential clients

We have just finished an exciting new project for our client Fauk Leather, using Zoho Sitesand various social media sites, to showcase their fashion leather goods business, connecting the company with their natural consumer base.

Avoid a high bounce rate!

If your website is uninteresting or inapropriate for the traffic you attract, your bounce rate will be very high and that means all the money you spent on Adwords and SEO tactics to attract customers will be wasted.

Your site needs to deliver at-a-glance, who you are, what you do and why people should choose to do business with you.

Once we finished this makeover, and firmly established the social media connection, the site became promotable by other techniques including email marketing, SEO and adwords.

See which social sharing sites worked best for their leather wholesale/retail company.

Fauk Leather is a wholesale leather supplier for fashion designers, television and film costume design and leather hobbyists among other things. They came to us looking for ways in which to renovate their on-line presence and showcase their leather goods to a broader range of clients.

Here are the actions we came up with to help Fauk:

1 - Create Interest with Pinterest

Pinterest is the perfect portal into online shopping. Create boards for people to follow and re-pin, allowing your products to be shared amongst those who care.

We created a range of Pinterest boards for Fauk including DIY leather, leather fashion, fashion designers, designs for the home, etc that other users can share amongst their followers.

If you're selling goods, add a Pinterest page to engage potential clients, they'll do your advertising for you!

2 - Share Photos on Flickr

If you're selling anything tangible, it's essential to have quality photos showcased on Flickr and Pinterest. With Fauk we created a homebase and catalogue for potential clients to browse through with matching item numbers to their product catalogue.

Make it easy for others to share your products on Flickr.

3 - Drive Traffic to Your Website

Fauk Leather's products are now organized, catalogued and linked back to their website on Pinterest and Flickr.  We have created a "client magnet", the perfect set up for attracting potential clients, who would have been unlikely to find Fauk's site on an organic search. They are now able to find the products on well established social media sites and can refer to the leather goods by product code when contacting the business.

These few crucial steps have increased their buyer potential dramatically and have opened the flood gates of social sharing.

Fauk's website created in Zoho Sites, customized by Alive Pro Studios.
